Last Friday a friend invited me to help record two bands for a local tv show called SoCal Live Showcase. They feature local artists and bands. While I was there video recording the event, I couldn’t help to get a few shots for myself. The bands were Mad Traffic (a rock band reminiscent of the Violent Femmes) and High Tide (a large california reggae band). It was at Winstons in Ocean Beach and while parking was a little bit of a hassle, it was totally worth it to hear the unique and awesome sound of these bands. The guys were all very talented and not to mention good looking (the sax player reminded me a lot of a Jonas brother… sorry). But thanks to SoCal Showcase, Sam Guest, and both bands for having me. I hope to do it again some time soon.
